2019 Chevrolet Suburban RST Performance Package Promises Better Handling, Braking

Full-size SUVs sell well when gas is cheap and people are employed. That describes the past few years in America, and when Americans want a full-size SUV, they overwhelmingly choose a Chevrolet.

For the 2018 model year, Chevy debuted sporty-looking RST versions of its Tahoe and Suburban models. Swapping chrome for body-color or gloss-black trim and detailing, and bolting on a set of 22-in. aluminum wheels wrapped in 285/45 tires gave them a custom look.

However, only the Tahoe received an optional RST Performance Package with a 6.2-liter V-8 engine making 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque, distributed to the drive wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission. That changes for 2019, thanks to vocal Chevy customers asking for a similar package for the Suburban RST. Read more about the 2019 Chevrolet Suburban RST...
