Aston Martin's Electric Sedan Will Be Here in 2019

Aston Martin is about to build 210 units of its 210 mph Rapide AMRs, powered by a 592-horsepower 6.0-liter naturally-aspirated V12. Yet if you think that's gonna be the brand's most exciting four-door, please meet the 2019 RapidE, the AMR with no cylinders at all.

Aston Martin's first electric car will be a limited edition of 155 available in 2019, packing instantaneous power delivery thanks to an advanced drivetrain built by the experts at Williams Advanced Engineering.

Aston CEO Andy Palmer says this car spearheads the development of the brand’s low- and zero-emission vehicle strategy, even though "internal combustion engines have been at the heart of Aston Martin for more than a century, and will continue to be for years to come." This comes as no surprise, since not only did the British sports car maker develop a brand new twin-turbo V12 for its new DB11, but they also signed a deal with AMG for twin-turbo V8s, as well as with Cosworth for a nearly 1000 horsepower 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12. Talk about a diverse range! Read more about the Aston Martin's Electric Sedan...
