Jeep designers addressed the model’s main weakness


Successful as it has been, the Jeep Cherokee has nonetheless come in for criticism for its polarizing looks. The new 2019 Jeep Cherokee rolled out this week for visitors at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit promises to put an end to all that.

Sporting a new design strong on elegance and flashing high-end appeal, the 2019 Cherokee has had its front fascia and hood redesigned and now sports LED headlights and daytime running lights incorporated in a single element. The profile of the rear section has also been revisited. In addition, a remodeled liftgate made of lightweight composite material (and with available hands-free power operation) and five new styles for the wheels (which are 19 inches in diameter on the Overland version) have been added to the product offering.
