Porsche Unveils 2019 Cayenne Turbo SUV at Frankfurt Motor Show

Less than two weeks after unveiling the new-for-2019 Cayenne, German premium automaker Porsche took the wraps off its valiant new 2019 Cayenne Turbo midsize premium SUV at this week’s Frankfurt Motor Show press preview. The new top model in the Cayenne lineup can be ordered as early as December of this year, but will begin reaching U.S. dealer showrooms in the fall of 2018 at a suggested price of $124,600 (plus $1,050 destination fee). Porsche officials claim the new Cayenne Turbo is quicker, faster, more powerful, and more aerodynamic than the prior-generation Cayenne Turbo S.

Built on Cayenne’s third-generation platform that is newer and lighter, the 2019 Cayenne Turbo is equipped with a brand new, 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine that produces a potent 550 horsepower and 567 lb.-ft. of torque. That’s 30 more horsepower and 14 lb.-ft. extra torque than the outgoing model. All-wheel drive (AWD) meshes with the new 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission for better acceleration and cruise comfort. With an optional Sport Chrono package, this beast will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds and can achieve a top track speed of 177 mph, according to Porsche officials. Read more about the Porsche Unveils 2019...
