The 2018 Mazda MX-5 Miata Is Getting Optional Recaros and a Red Soft Top
Every few years, Mazda adds a couple of tasty options and upgrades to the MX-5 Miata to keep its roadster fresh. For 2018, the MX-5 soft top gets new tuning for its rear suspension and electric power steering, plus a red soft top and Recaro seats as options. Nothing game-changer, but potentially welcome improvements for what's already one of our favorite sports cars.
Those Recaro seats come as part of a $4470 package available for the Miata Club that also includes 17-inch BBS wheels and Brembo brakes. Recaro seats were already available for Miatas sold in other markets and on its platform-mate, the Fiat 124 Spider. If these are the same seats we've sampled in the 124 Abarth, they'll be a great addition to the Miata.
There's also three new colors available for the Miata soft top—Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray Metallic, and Snowflake White Pearl Mica. The Miata Grand Touring also gets optional Auburn-colored Napa leather interior. Read more about the The 2018 Mazda MX-5 Miata...
