Camping With Electric Bikes! Our New Favorite RV Accessory | RV Lifestyle

in RVs AND CAMPERS, Road Trip, Technology

After a lot of consideration, Jennifer and I finally got E-Bikes. For some time, Rad Power Bikes (http://radpowerbikes.com) have been a sponsor on our RV podcast. We figured we really needed to try them so we knew what we were talking about. Besides, we are seeing more and more in campgrounds and the RVers we talked to have been raving about how much fun they are having with their E-Bikes. Mike got the Rad City commuter bike and liked it so much, that he bought a step-through version of the same model for Jennifer. We promised that we'd show them in action and give you our thoughts. Here's the video that does just that! Needless to say, we plan to bring them on all our RV travels. And if you see us out there, we'll happily give you a test ride if you ask! They are a lot of fun! RV and Camper Review | Tiger Moth Adventure Camper RV

in Road Trip, RVs AND CAMPERS

RV and Camper Review | Tiger Moth Adventure Camper RV There's a growing class of motorless, towable RVs called Adventure Campers. They're aimed at the boondocking, off-the-grid market. Here's one we saw recently while visiting an RV dealer in Michigan. It's called the Tiger Moth and its made by a company called taxaoutdoors.com It's expensive. MSRP is $18,000, though the one we saw was on the lot for under $15,000. Still, on the high end. But we found it interesting. And, yes, it can easily be towed by a Class B RV or even a small SUV.
