According to Digital Trends, Nissan plans to recycle old car batteries by using them in campers.
Nissan teamed up with trailer manufacturer Opus to design a portable camper, which will be powered by a first-generation Leaf battery.
Known as the Nissan Roam, the recycled battery pack will fit into a rectangular box about the size of a carry-on suitcase.
Inside, the pack features lithium-ion cells sourced from car batteries that were replaced after reaching their life cycle.
The Nissan Roam pack will store up to 700 watt hours of power with a 400-watt solar panel, which can recharge the pack in a few hours.
