Nissan Plans To Recycle Leaf Batteries For Camper Trailer

According to Digital Trends, Nissan plans to recycle old car batteries by using them in campers. Nissan teamed up with trailer manufacturer Opus to design a portable camper, which will be powered by a first-generation Leaf battery. Known as the Nissan Roam, the recycled battery pack will fit into a rectangular box about the size of a carry-on suitcase. Inside, the pack features lithium-ion cells sourced from car batteries that were replaced after reaching their life cycle. The Nissan Roam pack will store up to 700 watt hours of power with a 400-watt solar panel, which can recharge the pack in a few hours. https://www.digitaltrends.com/cars/ni... http://www.wochit.com
